Refund policy

1. Return Policy

You have 30 calendar days from the date of delivery to request a return.

To be eligible for a return:

  • Items must be unused, unworn, unwashed, with all original tags and packaging intact.

  • Proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation) is required.

How to initiate a return:

  • Email us at info@thegasman.co.za within 30 days of delivery to request a return authorization.

  • Do not send your return without prior approval; unauthorized returns will be refused.

  • Once approved, we’ll provide you with a prepaid return shipping label and instructions.

  • Returns must be sent to:

2. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund due to safety and hygiene reasons:

  • Customized or personalized products ( Gas pipe, orange hose, pigtails etc )

  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, and gases

  • Gas installations, gas cages, LP gas bottles, and labour services

  • Sale items and gift cards


3. Damaged or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order immediately upon receipt.
If your item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact us within 7 days at info@thegasman.co.za with photos and order details. We will evaluate the issue and arrange for a replacement or refund.


4. Refunds

  • Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

  • Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days.

  • Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take additional time for the refund to reflect in your account.

  • If you do not receive your refund within 15 business days after approval, please contact us.


5. Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may be granted in cases where:

  • Returned items show signs of use, damage, or missing parts not caused by us

  • Items are returned more than 7 days after delivery

  • Sale items (no refunds, but exchanges may be possible if defective)


6. Exchanges

  • To exchange an item, please return the original item for a refund and place a new order for the desired product.

  • Defective or damaged items can be exchanged by contacting us at info@thegasman.co.za or 079 586 9947.

  • We may arrange courier collection or instruct you to deliver to our warehouse.


7. Shipping Costs

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or incorrect.

  • Shipping costs are non-refundable.

  • A 10% handling fee may apply to refunds on international orders outside South Africa.


8. Special EU Customer Rights

For customers within the European Union, you have a 14-day cooling-off period starting from the day you receive your goods. During this time, you can return your order for any reason, provided the items are in the same condition as received.
